Who thought it would be a good idea to put the headphone jack at the front of the laptop (M200)?

Anyone know of USB headphones? or a headphone to USB adapter?

My Dell has the headphone jack on the side, under the PC Card slots, and so with a wireless card sticking out, I have to tip the machine quite a bit to get to and see which of the three identical jacks are for headphones…

I use the OPTOPlay from AudioTrak. http://www.audiotrak.net/optoplay.htm. You plug it in USB and it acts like another sound card. Headphones plug right in. Sounds great.

A headphone jack in the front sounds pretty smart to me.

Are you complaining that it’s there, or complaining that it’s not.

Alos if you’re going to whines, at least explain what’s so wrong with this design?

I alos suffer from the Dell problem with headphone jack underneath the PCMIA slots.

The reason the design sucks is because you have the headphone jack sticking out of the front of laptop, so if you have it on your lap it is jabbing into your stomach.. not very good.
