I meant to keep posting these after each session, but I ran out of juice and the desk seats nest to the power jacks were full all afternoon.
AP4R is a Ruby library for asynchronous processing, basically it is the implementation of a messaging queue. Using AP4R you can reliably send messages, and the API and usage is nice and simple. There are in-bound and out-bound queues and it looks pretty useful for stuff like payment processing and sending mail. This talk also reminded me learning Ruby is extra motivation to get back to studying my japanese.
