I have been meaning to talk more about what books I am reading, and I also plan on trying to review more books, so I am going to try and at least once a month post about what I have been reading lately.
Fiction:
Cold Mountain – This book is awesome so far, it’s rare to find books nowadays that can stand up as true literature. The story is basically Homer’s Odyssey rewritten and set in the times of the American Civil War.
Non-Fiction:
.NET Web Services Architecture and Implementation – Just got this book, going to really get into it this weekend.
The C Programming Language – After starting programming for the GBA I realized that I really needed to learn C from the bottom up instead of just in the context of programming for the GBA, and this book is supposed to be the best.
Recently Finished:
The DaVinci Code – Yeah, me and everyone else.
.NET Attributes – Pretty good book, I am going to try and write a review in a couple days.
So what have you been reading?

Ack DaVinci: nice book. Liked this one. -Ingo
A Walk in the Woods, by Bill Bryson.
A great book about one man’s experience walking the Appalachian Trail.
I’ve read two of Chuck Palahniuk’s books since the New Year. (He’s the author that wrote Fight Club, the book, before it became a movie.) I had read another of his – Survivor – a while ago, and that’s probably the best of his I’ve read. The two I tackled recently were Choke and Invisible Monsters, both were better than expected.
I recently picked up a copy of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, and started that last night (although I only got throught the first 10 pages or so…)
As far as technology books, I rarely find myself reading through those cover to cover. Usually just hit them when problems arise. My favorite .NET books I’ve used so far have been Building ASP.NET Server Controls and Applied .NET Framework Programming.
Scott,
I love Palahnuik’s books, I have read all of them but his most recent. He has been one of my favorite authors for awhile, his writing style and subjects are unique and refreshing when compared to all of the other crap out there.
I also liked Survivor the best, very well done. He also did an intersting little book on Portland that you should check out.

Yep. DaVinci, along with "Digital Fortress" (not nearly as good), and "Angels and Demons" (another good one), by Mr. Brown.
Just purchased "Timeline" by Crichton in e-book format.
"The Body of Christopher Creed" by Carol Plum-Ucci was an interesting read.
