It’s been awhile since I have done one of these, and Mike reminded me by talking about Rhapsody.. which is a service I also thoroughly enjoy.
Here is what I have been into lately:
The Black Keys – Most of the press call them a blues version of The Whites Stripes, but that seems to simple to explain this awesome two-piece band. More than anything they remind me of old school rock and blues. I have been listening to their new album (The Rubber Factory) and thickfreakness.
Autolux – I have been enjoying these guys on Rhapsody, I think I might pick up the CD this weekend. The drums are incredible.
Secret Machines – Kind of similar to Autolux, they draw alot of comparisons to Pink Floyd… probably just because of the electronics because these guys are more noise pop. Their album was available on iTunes before it was available for sale, kind of cool.
Interpol – You know who they are. The new album is pretty good, sounds alot like the first album.
The Killers – Good fun music, first heard it over in the UK earlier this year.
Morrisey – You are the Quarry is pretty good, made me go back and listen to a bunch of The Smiths and Vauxhall and I though.
If you use Rhapsody here is a playlist with a selection of this music:
So what have you been listening to?

Ahhh. Interpol. Love em’ They recently recommended Death From Above (or DFA) in an interview, I’ve been looking for them, but it’s hard to find.
I’ve had the Elliot Smith’s "Basement on a Hill" on for about two months. Excellent. Sad.
Eels have a good new one. Sea Change. Bright Eyes. Casabian (sp?). All very good and new.

Duh…
Metallica, Metallica, Metallica.
What else is there?
I’ve been listening to Louis XIV lately, a band that I believe has yet to get out of SoCal radio-wise and whatnot. They have a couple really good songs, and I like their sound overall. http://www.louisxiv.net/NEWsite/index.htm
Muse, Jack Johnson, Nick Drake, Diamond Rio…
Lately it’s been a lot of Tool, Chevelle, and Foo Fighters. Saw the Foo Fighters in concert last Memorial Day and they just rocked the house. A must see.
Actually right now I am listening to your playlist and enjoying it greatly so far.
Thanks,
Mike
I have been hearing alot of "betrayal" lately when playing with the Tighl…

Death From Above 1979, or DFA-79 if you like. Deadly canadian band. 2 piece with just bass and drums?! Oh yeah, believe it. They do more with 2 than most other bands can do with a 5 piece.
