Microsoft Confirms Merger Talks With SAP

“REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Microsoft Corp. confirmed that it had discussed a potential merger with software developer SAP AG late last year, but ended talks several months ago because of the complexity of the transaction, Microsoft said in a statement today.”

Yeah it would. Then Microsoft would own pretty much all the dominant ERP suites.
