Looking for a New Gig

by javery on May 9, 2007

The current release of my project is coming to an end in the next month or so and I have decided it is time for me to move on. There are some good developers who are on my team who will be able to take the reigns and keep the project going. I am also making another big change in my life, this summer I will be moving to Raleigh (but more on that later).

I plan to take a little time off after this project, but I am looking to start something new around July 1st. My goal is to either find something in the Raleigh area, or preferably find a project I can do remotely. I don’t mind some travel, but would like to do most of my work from home if possible. I am open to just about any opportunities, but would love to find a small to medium sized agile project for a company who is interested in doing things the right way.

A good friend of mine is also looking for work and after having worked with him for a year I would love to work with him on another project, so if you need a small team I think we could help you out.

If you are interested please contact me through the contact form (or email me at javery !AT! infozerk.com) and I can send you a resume and rate.

Congratulations on pulling the ripcord! If you wanted to move to Chicago instead of Raleigh, I know a company that would love your skill set. :-)

Nice to see someone pick their location then their job. You have
the right priorities. Congratulations.

Matt,
I thought about Chicago, my dad lives up there now, but in the end we really wanted to move south instead of north. :)

Dave,
I guess that the benefit of having a pretty standard job, I think I could find work just about anywhere…. I am sure there are alot of professions that don’t enjoy that same flexibility.
