Getting Real is a new book from the guys over at 37signals and with chapters like “Scale Later” and “Meetings Are Toxic” I am going to have to order it. (The Pragmatic Programmers should talk them into doing a print edition)

This is not the greatest tagline in the world… this is just a tribute.

Interesting, Jason Fried said that they pitched Pragmatic Programmers and they weren’t interested. Maybe those guys just want to focus specifically on programmers, and this was too much of a ‘business’ book? I ordered mine hours ago…money well spent.
Weird, they have some business oriented books like "Behind Closed Doors: Secrets of Great Management" already.
We approached the Pragmatic Programmers about printing and distributing a print version for us and they weren’t interested.
This book looks great! This is the best thing you have posted about in a long time James. I am going to order a copy for sure! So many of these problems I have run into time and time again…
I read the book over the past couple of days and it’s great. I’ve been preaching much of the content of the book over the past couple of years, but there were some new and interesting items and viewpoints that were new to me. I think the book is wonderful and would highly recommend it.
I agree, I would like to have the book in print.
I also read the book recently and it was great. It is what every developer is thinking but written to designers, product managers etc. I wrote my own little review of it here http://www.madskristensen.dk/blog/PermaLink,guid,c74270bc-896c-40e4-91f7-60215c01563c.aspx
We actually printet the book and glued it into a paper back. Now we have four copies on our book shelves. If they don’t print it, we’ll just have to do it our selves.
