I went and saw Fahrenheit 9/11 this weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan. (which made $21 million this weekend)
I was up in Michigan seeing some family, they had a party for us celebrating our recent wedding, and my wife had the great idea to go see this movie while up there. It seemed fitting since Flint, Michigan (Moore’s home town) is so close to Ann Arbor, and if you have ever been to Ann Arbor you know that it is one of the most liberal cities in America.
We went and saw the film at the Michigan theater which is a huge old theater, we bought our tickets early, and when we showed up to get in there was a line out the door and all the way down the street of people waiting to get into the show. There was a guy walking around with a “Free Palenstine” board strapped to his chest and another trying to collect signatures to get a socialist candidate on the ballet. A number of others were handing out flyers and talking to people waiting to get into the theater.
When we got into the theater it was packed with people, and I doubt there was a republican in the entire crowd. I thought the movie was well done, and I think everyone should go see it even if you don’t think you will agree with it but I will talk about that more over on my political blog.
On the way out people were handing out bumper stickers and invitations to an on-line meeting with Michael Moore on Monday.

"guy walking around with a "Free Palenstine" board strapped to his chest…to collect signatures to get a socialist candidate on the ballet"
So, in other words, a bunch of wild-eyed kooks. Pretty much what I expect at a showing of a propaganda film.
My wife, 18-year-old son and I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 as an evening out after dinner. I feel the idea to invade Iraq to the current situation in Iraq was covered very well by Michael’s documentary. I am very disappointed with how the supposed war with Iraq, to find WDMs etc., has turned out. Mostly I am very angry about the lies and misleading of our country and the world regarding the reasons for invading Iraq by our President Bush. I at first supported the war and convinced my family that it was a just war based on the claims of a Bin Laden connection and nuclear threat etc. made by our president and his administration. I hope Mr. Bush is not reelected and there is further investigations into how this great debacle came to be. This documentary uncovers a lot of truths even beyond the justification for the invasion of Iraq. It was eight dollars well spent, I cried and laughed passionately.

Just saw the movie last night. It was amazing, at most points I was in disbelief.Laughable disbelief. Yes some of it was propaganda, but of the reverse kind. Not like the things bush would like you to believe. I won’t forget the images I’ve seen, some things are just undeniable. Micheal Moore should be commended for all his efforts to expose these truths!!! Don’t you think it’s fishy about the ties bush had with the recount, almost like a fool-proof back-up plan. Ever think maybe if Gore had been our leader we wouldn’t have been sold out? Perhaps the events of September 11th wouldn’t have taken place?? What’s up with Bills not even been skim-read before they’re passed?? Did yall think they were actually read? Cuase I did. I mean does a pharmacist just hand out any type of medication and say, "Well, no we don’t actually read the prescrptions here…Do you realize what that would entail. We’d be so backed-up." Just think about the issues when you vote this time. And for god sakes- whatever your stance please just VOTE! we need to exercise our rights and hopefully this time around we can see our country ran by someone with our interests in mind. Not a "War-president" with a score to settle. And yet, God bless our troops, they are our country’s sons and daughters stuck in this too. My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of those not returning home. Anyone know where I can get a movie bumper-sticker?

That movie was absolute propaganda..how can anyone possibly believe it?? I saw it last weekend because I was undecided..now I am definately DECIDED. I am voting for President George W. Bush…what a stupid movie..really, I mean, the beginning was going rather boringly and then Micheal Moore showed his ass in the movie. I mean, who cares if the president went on vacation? Really, what kind of stupid crap was that..and that shot of him with Tony Blair? How do we know if that is really Tony? You blink your eyes and the picture is gone? They barely even show them!! What would you do if you were reading to a group of children and someone told you a tower just got bombed? Take a Russel Crowe Gladiator stance and run out of the building, sending the children into a panic? C’mon, get real, these are useless, petty facts and Micheal Moore is just trying to take something small and turn it into something huge. I don’t believe that president Bush took us to war for false reasons. This movie made me see how ludricrous Micheal Moore really is. Isn’t the definition of a documentary a movie where the producer does not show himself in the movie at all?? He can take his stupid movie and go to hell, I know who I am voting for.
People like ^^Sarah^^ make me want to vomit.
Moore isn’t from flint, he’s actually from from Davison,Mi.(near Flint,But is not Flint). Davison is a very rich area, where as Flint is pretty poor. Moore is doing this to make himself look more down to earth, where as he’s a 300 pound man, who owns suv’s, mini vans, has a $5 million house, and a $1.5 million penthouse. Talk about the greedy, glutonous american.
It is rather funny that he claims to be from Flint, especially since a lot of people from Davison do that to look "cool." Davison is being "invaded" in recent time because of overcrowding issues in Flint. Kind of ironic, when you think about how some people want to help the poor. Well, now the poor are in their backyards and it’s a whole nother story.
is it real
Bush cannot do crap because that is what he is
There are alot of stupid people out in America and a movie like Fahrenheit 9/11 might just triger every Americans minds to turn against Bush and his government but at the last turnout of votes at the election in november, turns out alot of people made the wrong decision in bringing back Bush into the white house. Did Michael Moore’s movie make a statement, or not?
We loved America when we were children.(I am English). Now Americans are assaulted in pubs which is despicable.
The war drums are beating again, Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism,Iran isnt democratic, Iran is developing WMD’s.
The world looks on and just sees Iran as having lots of oil.
The American people I meet are lovely, the American dream is everybodys dream.9/11 was not objective but at least it presented another point of view (like what the world sees). God bless America and stop electing such bloody awfull politicians.God bless you all
