Enterprisey

by javery on March 26, 2006

Brian blogs about Enterprisey, a term apparently coined over on the DailyWTF. Its a great word to described all the over-engineering that takes place to build an “enterprise” application. I love when I see a factory instead of a static method, simply because it’s more enterprisey. Superfluous layers of complexity and over-optimized code are also very enterprisey.

A developer pal of mine call this “ridiculizing” his code. :-)

I saw that on the DailyWTF too and it was hilarious. One of the best posts on that site in a long time.

That could be your next book. Enterprisey your code!
