CSS Control Adapters for ASP.NET 2.0

by javery on September 9, 2006

A control adapter allows you to plug-in into any ASP.NET server control and override, modify and/or tweak the rendering output logic of that control.

I wasn’t aware of these until we wrote about them for the book, now there is a new version available.

Excellent…haven’t had “time” to work with the CSS Control Adapters at all..

may check it out, but “time” doesn’t grow on trees at the moment for me..

btw…

this url seems to fail in the “avatar” image next to posts..appears to be a default setting of sorts..

http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=17FFC70ACB1C2BDDC82F6D7958E21A55&size=50&default=http://dotavery.com/blog/images/default_gravatar.png

would most likely speed up the page load if it didn’t have to try and locate that image for each comment.

just a FYI really..

Yeah, that is part of the new subText installation I havent figured out yet. I believe I need to create a default Gravatar to show up for comments.

ah ok…fair enough…not familiar with subText so wouldn’t know about it..

anyways, was just a FYI ;)

another FYI…tried to contact you via the “Contact” form on your blog here..

get this error:
“Your message could not be sent, most likely due to a problem with the mail server”

Yep, another issue with my subtext install. Working on figuring out what the issue is. If you want to email me use “javery” at infozerk dot com.
